According to the Census Bureau in the United States, some countries are involved in more trade with the United States than others. These countries either offer products that are in high demand, offer a larger variety of in-demand products, or are demanding products that the United States can provide them with, meaning that there are large numbers of trading dollars and products going in and out of these countries as a result of United States trade. This does not mean that in running an import and export business, that you are confined to trading with these specific countries. You can have trade deals with exporters and importers all over the world if you like, as there are all kinds of other available interesting and intriguing possibilities. For example, former Soviet Union regions and the countries along the Caribbean Basin and the Andean pacts are all options that are well worth considering. When you are brand new to the International trade scene, however, it can be beneficial for you to become familiar with and acquainted with the largest trading partners so that you can see what kinds of options and opportunities they have made available to you. Then you can either take your best shot with these large traders or try other countries as you see fit.
